Avid Editorial Management 2020.11 was released on 24/11/2020. Introducing new features including Monthly and Annual Subscriptions.

Built for post-production teams that need to find footage fast, collaborate easily and create stories quickly, Editorial Management delivers powerful yet simple workflow and media management. Completely integrated with Avid NEXIS storage and Media Composer, Editorial Management enables teams to search for media phonetically, log clips, edit video, pull selects, create string outs, and review projects from anywhere, using just a web browser. The 2020.11 release adds many new features including subscription licensing and an Editorial Management panel inside Adobe Premiere Pro.

This release introduces the following new features:

Monthly and Annual Subscription:

The Licensing app now includes two ways to license your Editorial Management server: perpetual and monthly or annual subscription. Subscription allows the number of active users and the cost of the system to align with the changing client project needs. Perpetual licenses are now sold as single licenses (customers are not required to buy a 5, 10, etc pack of licenses) allowing you to buy or add on their desired number of seats up to 25 concurrent users.

Adobe Premiere Pro Support in Editorial Management:

Users with Adobe Premiere Pro can use the Editorial Management Panel for Adobe Premiere Pro to search or browse for content in Adobe Premiere Pro projects. Additionally Adobe Premiere Pro Projects can be created and managed from the Editorial Management web browser interface. Adobe Premiere Pro functionality is Editorial Management is licensed as monthly or annual subscriptions to align with Premiere Pro.

Managing Complex Media Composer Sequences in Editorial Management:

Enhanced handling and user feedback when creating, editing and playing sequences within Editorial Management.

Support for Spanned Camera Media:

Editorial Management now supports the spanned media from commonly used camera formats as managed OP-Atom MXF.

Ability to Create Group Clips:

Introducing the ability to use the Start Timecode for Group Clips in the Editorial Management Browse App.

Ability to Update Editorial Management Software:

Deploy updates and patches to Editorial Management faster and without a full system re-install.

This release is recommended for all currently installed Editorial Management systems.
